Many microblading artists are asked by clients, “Do I need to shave my eyebrows off for microblading?”
The short answer is no. While other micro-pigmentation procedures produce the best results when all the natural hair is removed from the area, microblading does not. You should never shave, pluck, or wax your entire eyebrow off unless advised by a doctor.
The Process
To create the desired look, microblading is done with a handheld, manual tool, rather than using a standard tattoo needle. The blade is small and made up of numerous needles that will be used to create and fill stroke lines with pigment on the skin. This technique replicates the aesthetic of individual brow hairs.
The Finished Look
The final result is crisp, realistic-looking lines that blend seamlessly with your natural brow hairs. The finished look is one that enhances your natural beauty! It's the perfect technique for those with thin brows to achieve a fuller, natural look. As if they couldn't get better, these perfect brows are waterproof and smudge-free.
Before The Procedure
To ensure your safety, before the microblading procedure:
Do not have any Botox procedures for three weeks beforehand
Do not have a chemical peel two months before your procedure
Do not use anti-aging creams or products containing acids
Do not do a heavy workout or sweat on the day of
Do not tan or get sunburnt the day of
Do not wax or tint your natural eyebrows three days prior
Do not take ibuprofen or fish oil forty hours before
Do not consume alcohol or caffeine twenty-four hours prior
Doing so will affect the results, and could cause your new brows to peel off faster.

Final Thoughts
Treat yourself to perfect, enhanced eyebrows with microblading. Like any tattooed work of art, you'll need to look after it once the procedure is complete, and take care of the skin as it heals. Don't let the skin dry out or get crowded with creams and products that will irritate the skin. Take the right precautions before and after your procedure to achieve stunning, long-lasting results.
